JOIN US THIS EASTER HOLIDAY FOR TECH FUN IN BOLTON- We are providing fun, exciting and educational tech camps as part of the HAF (Holiday Activities and Food) Scheme. This includes provision of a healthy meal and enriching activities for children. Both funded and paid for places are available. All workshops are 4 hours long and include lunch, choose from morning (9am-1pm) or afternoon (12pm-4pm) session- Those children who are eligible for free school meals and resident of Bolton Borough should select a 4 session block (AM or PM) and enter VTR510 code to secure your free place. Paid places are available to book for full days if required (morning and afternoon) and content will be extended to provide a full days entertainment. Monday 11th- Stop Motion Animation. Bring your imagination and your creativity as we dive into the wonderful world of stop-motion animation. Children will use specialised software to create their own stop-motion animations that they can share with friends and family. From planning and designing to creating, making and onion-skinning they will take complete control over their animations. Children are welcome to bring along one or two small toys they would like to include in their animations (This is optional & we advise against expensive and large toys) Tuesday 12th-Augmented Reality game design with Scratch. Find out how to make your own keepy-uppy game using all the best features in Scratch 3.0. by building your own video-sensing, interactive game. Creative coding at it’s most fun! Thursday 13th- AppShed App Developer. Join us to become an app developer and create your own smartphone apps. We'll will learn the essentials of designing and programming a mobile app using an intuitive, easy to use platform that’s perfect for first-timers and loaded with features for the more adventurous! Thursday 14th- Robotics with Edison. Edison is an amazing little robot that can accompany learners throughout their journey. From simple bar code coding to Edscratch. Children will work on both on and off-screen activities to build and code their robots to navigate an obstacle course, play music, and even sumo-wrestle another robot!
